My delicious dirt

Would someone please explain to me how this child eats any dirt, grass and general disgustingness (new word), but if I don't mix up his foods with a touch of fruit in them he politely declines? He did not inherit this from me. I'm pretty sure this is not normal. Did the first two do this too? Hahahahahaha. Funny little guy.
