First off we headed to Stendal where we are always welcomed with open arms. Love these people.
Then she opened her presents - lots of fun new things. This is her new doll from Dr. Dad and Dr. Mom. She named her "Tobi". And no intense persuasion on the part of Martin could convince her that a girl could not be named "Tobi". So now we have two Tobis, and it is quite confusing.
Then we headed to the swimming pool and McDonalds - two of their most favorite places. :)
Tobi even got in on the fun and enjoyed himself immensely. Sort of. Part of the time anyway. :)
Then she celebrated with all of her little friends in kindergarten.
Then she helped me decorate her birthday cupcakes. Pretty sure she liked decorating them more than eating them. Although she was careful to put 10 times more sprinkles on her cupcake than on the other ones. We're good though - birthdays are only once a year.

Fun times. Love this little girl. She is much more bashful than Martin was, but works hard to overcome this. She is our giggler. She loves to laugh - and everyone in the family loves to make her cackle (it's not hard). :) Her laughter is just contagious. She loves her big brother - wants to do everything he does - and does not put up with anything from him. That can be somewhat annoying at times. ;) But it's getting much better than it was 6 months ago. Ahem. She adores her "Tobi Tobi". I've never observed even the slightest tinge of jealousy or resentment - 110% love - which can get a bit "invading personal space" at times. Sorry Tobi. She loves all things pink, glitter, and princess. She's a good (albeit slow) eater. The only thing she does NOT like to eat is cake - which I can totally live with. She seems to understand more from our Bible times - although she does regularly pop out with rather strange theological ideas in her prayers like, "Thank you God flies in the air. Thank you God is not here." Not sure where that came from - but sometimes what she says and what she means are two very different things, so not too worried about this right now. She does not distinguish between German and English at all right now - mixing the two in a big way. (Her poor kindergarten teachers). Hahahaha.
Love her. She's a ray of sunshine, and we thank God for her little personality and life.
Happy Birthday baby girl. (Indignant "I am not a baby. TOBI is a baby. I am a big prinzessin" in response to this.)

She is such a sweetie---a character, but an adorable character! Just love that little Princess! And she was sure to thank God when I was there --as we were praying for P. Schaedel after her horse related injuries-- that Grandma rides horses (horrors!)
Happy birthday dear Olivia. I wish that Lucy and Caleb could have come for your birthday party - maybe next year. The pictures are wonderful. We love the pink cupcakes that you made and all of the fun things you were able to do for your birthday.
Much love to our 4 year old great niece, Oliva.
